What does W2 employment mean for me?
As a W2 employee of Arche, we handle all tax withholdings, Social Security contributions, Medicare, workers compensation insurance, and unemployment insurance. You receive a W2 form at tax time — just like a traditional full-time employee. This is different from 1099/C2C arrangements where you'd be responsible for self-employment taxes.
Do you offer benefits?
Yes. W2 employees are eligible for benefits including health insurance options. Specific benefit details are discussed during the onboarding process and may vary based on assignment duration and hours.
Can you sponsor my H-1B visa?
Yes, we work with H-1B visa holders and can sponsor transfers and new filings. We also work with OPT, CPT, EAD, and other work authorization types. Each case is evaluated individually with our immigration counsel.
How long are typical engagements?
Most of our engagements range from 6 months to 2+ years. Some are contract-to-hire where the client converts you to a permanent employee. We aim for long-term placements because stability benefits both you and the client.
Do I have to be local to the client?
It depends on the role. Many of our engagements are remote or hybrid. Some clients require onsite presence. We'll always be transparent about location requirements before you interview.
How does the referral program work?
If you refer an IT professional to Arche and they are successfully placed on an engagement, you earn up to $2,000 as a referral bonus. The bonus is paid after the referred consultant completes a qualifying period on their assignment.
